new 2010 taco srd

    westin nerf bars and argricover soft roll up bed cover
    i put my new lic plate on the back of the truck...but the bolts do not tighted..they just keep spinning...is that normal?..all my other vehicles tighted up...

    sup with this?

    Well you got the SRD version. I think that comes with spinning bolts right from the factory.

    Use larger screws, or bolts.

    If it's just plastic, you can use a slightly larger bolt (not big enough where you'd crack the surrounding plastic though). If it's metal, re-tap the hole or use a self-tapping screw. You could also use a thru-bolt and a washer and nut at the back side or epoxy a nut to the backside of the hole.

    I'd look into the other response you got saying this is normal for the SRD package. I've never heard of this and don't want you to do a lot of work for nothing.
