It's all supply and demand I guess. I'm not familiar with the new jeeps but apparently they did something to appeal to the masses. They wouldn't have high resale values if people weren't buying 'em.

Back in 01, I bought my first Jeep Wrangler (92 w/45,000 miles in awesome shape). I paid $6700. Back then, they were all about the same prices, give or take. Just the other day I was flipping through autotrader. I saw 92 Wranglers (same type of rig but with 100,000K miles) for $6900. What the hell happened?
I mean....10 years later and 40K miles more and they increased in value?

Perhaps now that the economy has gotten better, things are changing.

It just absolutely blows my mind that Jeeps hold their value so well. Very glad to read about the Tacoma though!

Jeeps hold their value because even if they are used it's like buying a new car since every part has been replaced right before it went for sale.

Lol, there's a idiot that i don't consider my friend. That hangs around me and my friends and he thinks he is a know it all when it comes to vehicles, yet he has never worked in a shop or hand grease on his hands. He drives a 05 hyundai sonata but he talks shit about my Tacoma lol. He thinks Tacoma's are shitty and Frontiers are better and have better resale value. I guess he hasn't been doing his homework.
