91 Toyota Pickup need more power.......

    Hey have a 91 Tacoma 5spd V6 looking to squeeze as much power out of it as i can, already has a cold air on it.......
    Any other suggestions...?

    I dont know of any superchargers availible for the 3.0.


    OP. How much money do you have twards getting more power?
    Also, you siad its a Tacoma, but its a '91?

    Money......well it all depends on what it is and how much i will get out of it ya know.......
    and ya sorry it is a 1991 Toyota pickup 3.0 v-6 manual

    A Chevy 4.3 Vortech motor is a popular swap in those trucks. You would need to get the wireing and ECU from the doner vehicle. OR, you could swap in a 2.7 engine and drive train from a 1998 to 2000 Tacoma, and THEN supercharge it. :D

    May I suggest a swap to the 2.4L 2RZ.

    You all might think it's a joke but... I have seen the swap and the person running it say's a considerable bit more power out of that that the 3.slow

    That is a viable choice, but given that he is 4x4, I would guess he would want the same or better torque curve of the 3.0.

    Did you see what he was running for tires? That thing gas been SAS'ed dual transfer cased and is running 37's. He did get a screamin deal for it though, $600 for engine, transmission and complete wiring harness.
