Are the new Tundra's really that ugly? Had one pull up next to and by me in town yesterday and got a good look at it (4door). I do believe that Toyota has out-uglied the Titan. I had a dog that ugly once....I shaved his ass and taught him how to walk backwards.

Ugly, ugly, ugly and then they wonder why they have to drop $10,000 off the price around here to get people even interested in buying one. My local Toyota dealer (who I drive by twice a day) has had dozens of the new Tundras in his lot for months and very few have moved.

It's just you. If I had room in the garage and some extra cash for gas I would trade my Tacoma today. As for the Titan.........FUGLY!

I think they seperate themselves from all the other trucks out there... Everything else kinda looks the same... but not this truck.. It sets itself far apart... Look at it long enough... you'll start to like the looks..

If gas was affordable, I would buy one without hesitation. Love the look.

Those things are bad ass! I too would trade the Tacoma in for a Tundra, but I would need a second job to pay for the gas.

I just don't understand how you can say its ugly... it looks like a Tacoma on steriods.. all beefy! You can tell the Tundra is the Tocama's older brother or daddy even.. It's an awesome looking machine!

Totally agree! It's an overgrown Tacoma with, and I don't know why, smaller headlights.

The thing looks like a Tacoma with numerous botox injections. It's like Toyota told the design engineers "he who uses the most square inches of sheet metal wins" . The front end below the grill looks like a skin graft from the goodyear blimp. No doubt the drivetrain is first class and it hauls ass but damn. I'm not a great fan of the older body style either but at least it didn't look like Rosie O'Donnel on wheels. But to each his own...I'm sure folks'll be happy with them. And don't get me started on 4 door pickups......

I like them! I won't be getting one until they put a turbo-diesel in it, but I can dream. Of course, I did move to San Antonio where they make them. I will be watching these guys like a hawk!

    :D
Santa, all I want for Christmas is a 4.7L Turbo-Diesel 4WD 2008 Toyota Tundra with Air Conditioning and power locks.

    Hey geezer,

How about those four door picks up. Don't they rock or what? I love going to the cottage with three babe's instead of just one in a regular cab. Get the rift. Nothing beats a foursome by the fire place on a cold cold night. :D Oh yeah!

Many-hinge (4dr) pickups get right up there on my ugly meter along with the new Tundra. Whatever lines a pickup can have is out the window with the xtra hinges. Having said that, I do think the evolution of the many hinge pickup form the early 60s Dodge Power Wagon/4x4/crew cab/haul anything truck through the modern larger 3/4 and 1 ton units and down to the 1/2 ton and compacts is nothing short of design genius. Talk about niche marketing...bingo. Now all you youngins still of breeding age can go out and shop for a many hinge pickup where before you were limited to a car with 4 doors. In the last 10 years or so damn near everybody has a 4dr pickup in the 1/2 ton or less market. Thousands of first time buyers can now look to a truck (albeit an ugly one) as ther first vehicle. Wifey can haul the kiddies; get the groceries and you can stud around with your homies on the weekends in your truck.....same vehicle. And let's not forget the aftermarket. How much $$ do you think is put into the family 4dr sedan in aftermarket goodies? And how much $$ is put into the family many hinge pickup in aftermarket goodies? No contest.... And don't forget the increased safety factor for your loved ones or your own ass in a truck vs a sedan.

So I'm not really anti many hinge pickup..as they do get more folks into trucks. It's just they're.....hmmmm....oh well......UGLY.
