Best quality bed cover.

Hello fellow members, I'm considering purchasing the 2007 Tacoma and would like opinions on where to get the best price for a quality Tonneau Cover. I plan to add a below the rail tool box and would like a cover that is lockable and won't interfere with the operation of the tool box. All comments will be welcomed and appreciated. Thank you in advance amigos.

Thumbs up

Here you go: truck-add-ons.com
They carry all kinds of covers. My personal fav. that I would recommend is the Fold-A-Cover. It's a hard folding cover, lockable, and easy to install. Truck Add-Ons has the best price on these that I've been able to find.

IMO the BAKFlip is the best. I've been done a lot of research and this week will be ordering one. I already have the Pop & Lock for the rear tail gate and once the BakFlip comes in, it will all come together. I'm sure others have different opinions, but this one meets my needs.

Stay away from the Bakflip. I have it myself...it's junk. It falls apart really quick and the rail system it uses is junk. It's made of styrofoam and ABS plastic and does not stop waterfrom getting in your bed. Also their customer service is garbage. I've emailed them twice and never heard back, and they don't answer thier phone either. If you want further proof look at these posts.

Don't waste $600 like I did. Go with the fold a cover if you want a folding cover

The Access LE is a great soft roll up cover. Goes for $600-700. Very weather tight and easy install.

All right, what other folding "hard" covers are out there? Need the hard cover to protect the fishing gear. I've read quite a few reviews, a majority indicate they like it, a few have issues. Back to the research if your indicating I should save my money.

Interesting reviews by TN. Fold A Cover may be the one.....

I still say the Fold-A-Cover is a good way to go. Had one on my last truck, and will put one on my new Taco when I get it too. Click the link in my post above to go to the Truck Add-Ons website. They have great prices on all kinds of covers.

After reading the entire thread....BAKFlip gets kicked to the curb. Thanks for the assist and keeping me from making a bad mistake. This is a Fathers Day gift and I'd like it to be a good one.

If your dead set on a folding lockable cover, go with the fold a cover. I've read good things there on toyotanation.com

I would talk to Cabela`s. Good price and no BS warantee. If you do not like it; have them pick it up.

I have an 07 tacoma long bed dbl cab. i bought an extang full tilt tonneau cover. it's a soft cover that can be removed in one piece or rolled up against the cab. basically it is has a frame which attaches to the rail system( the larger tie downs won't fit on the side rails, but if you put it on against the cab its fine) with shocks attached to each side. when the cover is closed you slide locking bars under the rail system, when you open the tailgate, you slide the locks away and the cover hinges up about a 16 inches giving you easier access. to remove in one piece you simply pop out the shocks (which stay attached to the cover) raise it up to about 45* and pull it out. i bought it online at autoanything for $360 which was a good deal since shipping to Hawaii costs so damn much

Bought and installed the Fold A Cover.......very nice and now I can keep the fishing gear in the rear without worry of theft. Not completely sure that it will be 100% waterproof, but after the first rain I'll find out. Not hard to install, took my time and was finished in about 2 hours.
