Solid motor/tranny mounts for the 22re 2wd pickup?

Where are you guys getting you motor and tranny mounts for your pickups to stiffen things up? My engine cage is really close to my intake manifold and they kissed a lil bit over the weekend while romping around in the yerington dezert. I'm really surprised i didn't crack the intake mani. I need something stiffer like poly to keep them both from moving so much, don't wanna pay total chaos pricing.

the trail gear unit looks nice...

I was thinking of getting the same ones for my truck. Are those a true solid mount though? It says they have poly bushings so how much movement will the motor have? If I solid mount the trans with those am I going to break the trans mount?

not a true solid mount as they do have a poly bushing to dampen vibs. And not much movement i'm guessing.

I don't understand your last sentence.

here they are for 85...

Im saying if I solid mount the transmission and these motor mounts have a little movement will I break the transmission mount? I know solid mounting one and leaving the other OEM can break whichever is solid mounted

Finding a poly trans mount is not easy for my auto trans. It looks like the LCE ones you posted are solid without a poly bushing. I would assume my motor mounts would be the 3.75" ones but it doesnt say it fits 5vz

tell me about it, i can't find a single place that sells a poly trans mount for my truck either. I don't understand why, they only made a few million of them. I'm going to go with the lowrange ones most likely to get a little dampening from poly.

OK I just called LCE and they said the mount posted below (part# 1093045) will fit a 5vz. They said they do have about and 1/8" thick poly mount around the bolt so it will not flex very much if any at all. They said they do not recommend using the OEM trans mount because it will flex too much and could cause damage to the motor mounts. A solid trans mount should be fine with these with the little movement they will give

nice. Prepare to be rolling around in a rattle box. I unfortunately have to due to my engine cage. I'll prolly get the ones from lowrange. Do you have the Reicher racing WIY shackles?

I dont mind a rattle box, engine cage is coming soon for me too. I made the shackles myself with some RR influence
