I haven't seen spyshot one of the 2012 Tacoma testing. Usually you start seeing photos on the various car sites and mags of heavily disguised mules out testing the year before they go on sale. Just think of all the photos of the 4runner before it was released. I'm starting to believe the cosmetic changes only rumors.

Yes, mine was the ANTI-PRIUS in every way.....manual choke weber, no emissions equipment, header, no cat, carbon reading of 2300 on inspection (200 was max allowable) at 400k+ miles but it was over 25 yrs old so it got the 13.00 inspection instead of the 45.00 one and the emissions mattered not. :D It confused the shit out of Prius drivers. Looks on their faces in rear view were always priceless. I'm much more environment friendly now with the 05.......it was no joke tho, pokin fun at snooty bitch Prius drivers is serious bidnez. Careful with the man card revoking, you has pink reverse lights.:p

I had to go to Japan to see it, but here it is, the first 2012 Toyota Tacoma Spy Pic. Yes it does have more of a squared front end and their bringing back the external bed hooks. This is a standard cab longbed, but YES IT'S DIESEL!!! Check out the upgraded rearview mirrors! I can't wait to order mine!

All this talk of the 2012 tacoma possibly changing, just like the 09, 10 and 11. It is comming up to March 2011 and no real relable word of any change. My broher-in-law works for Toyota and thinks it will be 2012 too, but we all "think" something. I'm saving to buy my new taco and upgrade from my small '96 standard cab...yes it's small. I was looking forward to some miraculouse change like auto rear window, or better MPH or 6 speed auto. I read an article from a company that builds Toyota motors and trans, and they said the are working on a 6 speed auto for possible release the end of 2012 but the only thing they don't make motors and trans for is the Taco.

I like the current body style and when I buy I will be in for the long hall. I don't want to make the investment and have some technological advancement that I don't want to live without come out the year after I buy mine. My current plan is to order the 2012 in Sept when they are planned to be released, but should I give it one more year if nothing is different? I don't know. Any body got any advice?
