I am finally going to put a rasco cruise control in my 2001 tacoma, 4x4, 2.7L, 4cyl.

I ordered the universal cruise module (250-1223) and the cruise controller (250-3421) but I came across an install chart that said I also need a throttle adapter (250-4326). This is an extra $30 part plus $10 shipping!

Has anybody installed a cruise control on a 2.7L older taco? Do I really need an adapter? I thought I could just tie into the main throttle cable.

I find myself in the same boat as you currently and am wondering what you ended up doing? The adapter is now 45 bucks and they want 17 dollars shipping. Did using the cable loop attachment work for you?
