I stumbled upon this list today while surfing the net.

The criteria for the list was capability, capacity, durability, reliability, and value.

Also, I've attached the link to the original site at the very end, which goes into a pro's and con's list of each, why he chose the vehicles he chose, etc.

    Share your thoughts.

I didn't want to spoil it at the beginning, but I find it extremely impressive that Toyota has the #1 and #2 pick and 4 of the top 10 overall, #2 being the truck we all love so dearly.

ha! They're in it for the looks. As long as it's on 35's with a 6" lift, they're happy. You know you've made a mistake when pansy-ass wannabe country artists are singing about your truck!

One time I was pulling down a tree- all 4 wheels were spinning(hard ground) and it hopping ready to go.

BTW-he still has it--rusting away somewhere.
If anyone is seriously interested in buying it-I will get pix and info.
Last time I saw it--it was not in good shape.
But it would make a good and profitable project for someone that has the time.

I guess it has to do with something with the switch from the gen 1 to the gen 1.5 from 2000 to 2004 :notsure:

I was wondering the same thing. They're all pretty reasonable, minus that monstrosity lol

Even stranger how he stops at 2008... Thought the ATRAC and such that '09+newer come with only made the the trucks that much better offroad...

No clue. I meant to say the 2000-2001, not 2000-2004. I dunno why he's got years including some 1st gens and 2nd gens

I'm surprised there wasn't a mention of any of jeeps CJ's seperate of as a whole: cj2a, 3b, 5, 7, are all very popular and capible yet a mercedes wagon made the list... and a suzuki that wasnt the samuri is also a suprise.
