ofcourse there will be a slight difference between years , however , the wiring didnt change much over the years. With this said ,it should give you a base line to work with to figure out what wires you need to fix .
I am trying to figure out why somebody would tear all your wiring off ?

My 85 had big connectors for both the Trans and T-case like the ones near the air filter and igniter. It's not a long connector from the T-case, maybe a 3 inches so there should be a wire for that close by if there was one. It's only an indicator light so you could probably wire your own if you can trace the wire from the dash. Are you converting to 4x4?

Maybe when they dropped the trans they didn't unhook them and they tore off. Sensor from t-case looks like this

I think the trans connector looks the same.

If they are there then they should be visible from underneath the truck somewhere around the trans. If not then you will have to trace from the front back. Yotatech has some good info for earlier trucks. Can always do a search on that forum and see what pops up.

The wires going to those wires on the trans/t-case in your picture should be running along the bottom of the truck, maybe by the hard lines or near the trans tub in the center. Could be wrapped in heat shielding or even cut somewhere between the engine and firewall.

The reverse sensor is what those wires are coming off in the right of this picture. Where those two wires are hanging, in that clip, that is where the plug in the left of this picture should sit. 2 wires go from that plug into the engine bay, but I'm not sure where. I can look this evening for both harnesses if I remember.
