High RPM at 55 MPH

    2012 double cab v6
    I have a 2012 v6 double cab. When I am running 55mph it is turning 2100 rpm's this is high. My wife has the same truck just differnt year, it turns about 1700 rpm's. Any suggestions?

    sounds like ur running in 4th gear to me mine is right around 1500 or so. what size tires u running and are u going by gps or speedo (it wouldnt make a 400 rpm difference but good info anyway)

    I'm guessing this is the case. I just went from a V6 MT to a V6 auto and I at 70mph I'm seeing about a 400rpm difference.
