I just bought this 1980 Toyota yesterday and drove it home only to find it overheating and running like crap when it gets hot, and I can't get it to idle down for anything. So it had a few problems but that's ok, it has a fairly straight body with only a little rust through the bed. This is a north east Alabama find for $1500 so it's gonna be a good project.

That looks like a great project. Bought mine for $2000 with a blown head gasket, it was a Texas truck, no rust. Working on the steering box next, due to leaking issues.

I love this thread. Here is my 1989 pickup 22re, 5spd, 136k miles. It was my first vehicle and I'm currently in the process of getting it back on the road (cracked frame).
