Hey everyone. I am interested in buying a canopy. I could either go the route of buying a new one and getting a color match and everything or go with a used one but with a used one you don't always get the color you want. Has anyone painted a canopy before? Did you use aerosol cans?

Yea I want to pick up a used one but I want to know if it would be worth it to pick up some paint and paint it myself.

I thought about getting a used one and painting it to match my truck...but I'd want it to really match the truck and look NICE so I'd have a professional do it.

I saw some good ones on Craigslist but so far none that are "cheap" enough for me to consider.

I bought a used SnugTop on Craigslist. When I bought it the canopy was black. On the way home I dropped it off at Maaco and had them color match. This is the second time I have bought a used canopy for a truck and done this. Extemely happy with my choice and saved some serious bucks over new. Good luck. Ken:cool:
You can check out my pics if you want to see the truck with canopy

The had the canopy about 2 days total. Savings over a brand new canopy if you can find one makes it worth the effort IMO.
