I'm the only one in the family that can drive a stick. The last time my FIL borrowed someone's truck(an ancient GM 1500), he ran over a light post putting a dent in the trucks fender....and that truck was an automatic!

    My wife hates pickup trucks.

She's driven manuals in the past so I know she can drive it but she doesn't even try.

Strange thing is though, she likes Honda Ridgelines:facepalm:

My wife is afraid to drive it. Bigger than her car. But on the few occasions that she has had to, she always giggles and smiles and feels so tough in it. Women!

Women! Funny, unfathomable, wonderful creatures! My wife loves to drive the Taco, but a little scared of parking it, doesn't know where the ends are. Understandable. Her car is a MazdaSport GT, which she handles very well; mine is a much modded '92 Sunburst Miata, which she is still trying to get hold of, but I resist strongly. I think she also thinks she is tough, cool, in the Taco. Good on her.

ok so heres the story: i got stuck in the sand a few days ago and couldnt get out... this guy in a broke ass honda accord yells "Eh what u gon get yo momma to pull you out?!" and i was thinking in my head, okay this guy is an a-hole. However, another guy in a ford excursion has a tow strap and tries pulling me out of the sand, and i couldnt get the wheel to quite turn the way i wanted to so i kind of gave up... then the guy in the honda accord drives his car up next to the excursion and gets out. he seemed to be friends with the guy in the excursion but i was still skeptical... so the guy in the excursion told me let him give it a try.. so i did. he got in and turned the wheel all the way so that he could manouver the truck out... now heres the kicker, once he got all the way out of the hole, he booked it across the sand and i was like WHAT THE F**K this guy is going to jack my truck with my wallet my friends stuff and whatevers inside... i was like FML at that point cuz my phone was inside as well... however he stopped after maybe 50 ft away from me, turns off the truck, then walks back to me and says lesson learned: dont drive in the sand. (the area that i was mostly hard surface except for the one spot where i ran into powder, didnt even see it coming...) i guess always gotta be prepaired for anything, didnt have nothing with me... the only people that have drove my truck is my mother, father, myself, and this complete 60-65 year old stranger who looked like he was homeless (much respect to my elders now, lol)..... however he said he got his own 4x4 sitting at home n just wasnt out to play that day lol.
