idk what the price around you looks like for something like this but seems a little high to me. if your just looking for a 'wheeler' find something with a shit ton of miles. and do the work yourself that way you know it done 'right' lol.

 

offer him 1500 and see what he says, you could buy a new trans with that 500 maybe. Ive been looking at these old 4runners the last few days. Seen a few that all run from 1800-3200
a few that dont run for 600-1200
