Anybody have any experience getting a bike rack to work mounted to the hatch door of an '09 or similar MY Highlander? I'd toss them on the roof, but that's where the kayaks will be and I don't think I can fit two kayaks and two bikes up there. Both Yakima and Thule say they technically don't offer any hatch mount options for the Highlander.

I don't want the cost of a hitch plus the rack just yet, which is why I was looking at hatch mount.

    Thanks

I was never comfortable with bike riding on the rear glass. Go with a hitch rack, e-trailer has them for under $200. 30 minutes in your driveway to install, they bolt right on.
