During last night's storm a very large oak tree fell across the bed of my tacoma. I've never had to deal with an insurance company before and would appreciate any thoughts on how to deal with them. An adjuster comes on Monday. Truck looks totaled to me but?

TC Long Travel front end W/ Race runner coil overs, Currie 9" rear end extended to match the width of the front, custom hoops through the bed w/ FOX 2.0 incorporated sparetire mount and rear bumper, 2 Bucket seats in front and a baby bucket in the center in the back, upgraded stereo system, 315/75/16 red labels on M/T all black rims, K&N intake, Flowmaster Exhaust.
It doesent look to bad the main thing about that is if the frame is bent. it may just need a new bed and those really are not all that expensive to replace. they will probably have to take it to a shop to check it, if its not really noticeable once you get the tree off of it.

You exceeded the payload capacity. Read your manual!

I'd be pretty surprised if the frame isn't fucked. The rear 3rd of these trucks have a c-channel frame under the bed, making that area the weakest for heavy impacts like this.

That said, OP could always just fabricate/have fabricated a new frame section to replace the damaged portion, although that may affect street legality depending on state law.

Your truck would have shrugged that off if Toyota supplied decent leaf springs ;)

Seriously though, good luck with finding a new one.
