    Ok guys need some help. Can someone post a pictur e ofhow thetailgate on late 80s early 90s pickups mounts to the bed at the pivot point .not the latch ... thanks guys

    Ya but the round "knob" that fits into the bed to allow the tailgate to pivot ..is that "receiver" part of the bed? Or can it be taken off the bed.

    My plan is to mount the tailgate on a wall and retain the open and close feature I saved the latched and the cables but forgot about this

    Ya, I remembered my '94 being the same as the 2nd Gen.

    But wasn't there a part that bolted on that secured it?
