Best lift kit for Prerunner

Have a 2012 DCSB Prerunner with a Leer 180. Need to lift her up a little. Not so much for off roading, though I will take her on fire roads to do a little target practicing, but for easier access into the cab. I'm 6'3" , 280#. Once in, I am very comfortable. So after reading post after post after post, I'm still confused. Here is what I would like for my truck. 2 to 3 in lift, little better ride quality and NOT having to change out uppers and lowers. Last question, will I need to get a wheel alignment when all is said and done. Please remember this is for a PRERUNNER not a 4WD. Thanks all, love my truck and this forum. Brett

Look into getting the OME 3" lift from Toytec without the top plate spacers.. You will get about 2.5" of lift out of the struts and clear 285s. But what size tire do you want to run? If you are on a budget, get 5100s and adjust them to the 2.5 setting and get A AAL.

If you want to avoid replacing UCA's, then I'd stay a lot closer to 2".

5100's with either Eibach coils, OME 883 coils or OME 884 coils for the front and Icon or Wheeler's 3-leaf AAL for the rear. Eibachs will give you 1.5" of lift with 5100's at 0 or 2.5" with 5100's at .85 (maybe a bit more because you're a Prerunner). 883's will give you around 1.5", 884's will give you about 2". Personally, I'd go with the 884's. I've got the Eibachs now and would rather have the OME coils.

Going to stay with the stock 16 for now, after the tread is gone I will probably go to a larger tire.
