884's

Good afternoon. I've been playing with the idea for months now on which lift to get. I simply cant afford the 885 kit with ome shocks. I was curious about how the ride would be on stock shocks with 884s. Also, I'm sure your aware that there has been discussions concerning the 884s sagging. The toytec site advertises the 884s to provide 3" of lift. If the springs do sag over time are there any "warranty" type policies that will replace the sagging shocks? Thanks for your time.

Shocks dont "sag". The springs may. You should call Toytec and ask them what they will do if they sag below what they advertise. OME springs are designed to be used with OME shocks. They wont ride good on the factory shocks.

Hello,

First, to clarify, our website does advertise the OME coils in a kit that will give you 3 inches of lift. Please take close note, that kit does come with a top plate spacer to complete the full 3 inches. No where does it say that the OME coils will give you 3 inches alone.

Second, keep in mind, that all lift manufacturers list lift figures as an average not an exact. It is no secret a standard cab 4cyl truck will get more lift than a double cab v6.

Therefore, anyone who wants to have a warranty against their coils sagging will only be covered if they buy the OME shocks that pair up with the spring, don't use a top plate spacer and use no other aftermarket parts, then OME will warranty those out if the front drops to less than 1 3/4' lift.

Hope that brings some clarity on this issue.

I may have missed it but i just ordered some coils from Toytech and when i was asked how i found out about Toytech, Tacomaworld wasn't an option . I had to put "other toyota forum"...it may not be a big deal but i want to TW to get recognized when I order from there so it makes our forum look good you know. Ive already purchased from Toytech and their costumer service was excellent, was just throwing that out there.
