I would like to raise the front (currently 3.25 inches lower than rear) but do not want a stiff ride. I thought about buying the 5100s with different mounting heights for the stock coil, but at the 2.5" level the spring would be compressed and probably very stiff. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, I can explain the difference for you.

Stage 1 is really designed for those individuals who already have Bilstein 5100 front shocks and want to convert their 5100s into adjustable coil overs. The kit also includes a longer Eibach spring which will allow for increased flex while providing lift and a great ride. Also in this kit are 2 sway bar re-location bars that move the sway bar forward to clear the adjustable sleeves.

Stage 2 includes everything in stage 1 while adding two 5100 Bilstein shocks. Using this kit you will need to disassemble your factory coils and re-use the stock top plate on the new coil overs.

Stage 3 is comprised of the complete 5100 adjustable coil over complete with machined aluminum top plate. These ship to you completely assembled and are ready to install.

I hope this answers your question. It sounds like a stage 2 or 3 kit might be right up your alley. The longer Eibach springs complement the 5100 shock very well and they are not very stiff. The ride will be much better than a normal 5100 set on the top notch. Please advise if you have any other questions or concerns.

Couple of questions: Looks like the stage 3 is the easiest install? Is this a do it yourself project? Would installing the stage 3 require an alignment? I plan on keeping the stock tires for now and setting the lift in front to about 1 inch. Also, interested in price shipped to 92071.
