Ok so this summer me and a couple of buds are wanting to go deep seas fishing. It is my job to plan it out and I do not want to fuck the trip. There will be six of us and want to do a 10 or 12 hour trip outshore. I want to go down to the gulf but have not decided where. I havn't been in a long time and the last charter I went on is out of business now.... I need some advice on where to go and which charter to get...Its gonna be around late may or early June...Thanks

Does it have to be the Gulf?? Key West is some good fishing...I have been looking into trying a deep sea place near me (In New Orleans) but haven't gotten to try anywhere yet.

Screw the gulf and head due east and hop on a charter @ the OBX out of Pirates Cover in Manteo. Plus the OBX is a short boat ride out to the Gulfstream.

In Orange beach there's also a charter service called Reel Surprise. They've got two boats: the Reel Surpise and the Gulf Winds II. The thing is though, don't go on the long ass trips. They come in 4, 6, and 8 hour trips. All 3 come with pretty much the same amount of fishing. So the 4 hour trip really cuts down on the time sitting on the boat with nothing to do. Be sure to get on Randy's boat. We went this summer and got a different captain and he couldn't find the fish. I only ended up catch one keeper.
