I've got a possible job relocation from Denver, CO to Portland, OR within the next month. Looking for any road warrior advice on best driving routes at this time of year. I'm looking at towing 2 U-Haul 6x12 trailers with my wife's 2wd Chevy Tahoe, and the other with my 4wd Tacoma. The fastest and most direct route is up through Wyoming to Utah via I-80 but I'm a little concerned with road conditions this late November and especially the winds up in that area. How is taking I-84 up through ID and then to OR?

If it came down to it, I'll even consider going south through NM and west to CA to take the I-5.

    Any thoughts welcome!
