there is just so much to say about Disney.

For a romantic, expensive, delicous dinner (no kids allowed) go to Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian ($125/person no alcohol)
For a fancy dinner and good fireworks show, check out the California Grill on top of the Contemporary. They play the music from the Magic Kingdom and you are able to go out on an observation deck to watch the firworks from Magic Kindom.
For a delicious, filling buffet dinner, Go to Boma in the Animal Kingom Lodge. (I won't skip this place ever!)
You can also do a character buffet at the crystal palace.

My favorite attractions are Expedition Everest, Soarin', Space Mountain, Aerosmith, Cali River Rapids, Test Track, Splash Mountain, Test Track, Dinosaur, Mission Space, Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion.

Gran Floridian is very nice, and convevnient but not very interesting for boys. Maybe if you had daughters they would like that.

The (un)Contemporary is very convenient, but doesn't have much of a theme.

Pop Century is the cheap hotel.

Animal Kingdom has rooms with a view of the animals, but it takes so long to get to the parks.

The wilderness lodge is also supposed to be very nice (I haven't stayed there though.)

I can do better with specific questions, but there is just too much to talk about and I don't want to overwhelm you.

I live in central florida and space mountain at the magic kingdom one of the more popular rides will be closed for a makeover from april 19 until late in the year. I would really try to go to one on the parks at universal, I tend to like universal more than disney and I think the kids would really like sea world. When you come make sure to spend lots of money to help us down here in the sunshine state!!

not fun today either....flooded entry from busted hot water heat exchanger....
haven't checked into that, but will write it down and find out.....thanks!
    thanks for the link.
that sucks, but thanks very much for the heads up about space mountain. I will check into visiting sea world, but Disney is hurting bad too and is giving some excellent package deals to lure people in. Gonna be hard not to go with the 3 free nights and tickets. We would have to give up a couple of those to go elsewhere. Great advice, making it hard to decide. But please keep the info coming. Definately helps me weigh our options.
Gonna spend what I can brother. Can't wait to come down!

I have printed off the previous posts and I'm presently studying up. You all are great help already.

I need to get the basics done first....gonna pull the trigger within another week or so.....first off, where to stay. 'Bow started out by mentioning the Wilderness lodge. Some backed that up. We are an outdoorsy family so it would fit.

Dave, the cabins and golf cart sound awesome too, but we don't need to park the Taco, and we will buy a food package so the store may not be needed. You have stayed at the Wilderness lodge and several others, was the above reasons why you prefer the cabins better? Golf cart etc.

Please anyone chime in on which resort at Disney you prefer and why.

The suggestions to go other places is so appealing, but right now Disney is giving 3 free nights and tickets with purchase of 4 days. I hate to give this up. Would it be a mistake to stay at Disney for the whole 7 days?

    Thanks ahead for the help!
