Ok, so me and my bf were plannin on goin to cancun, mexico in april. Well, we have heard from several people that there are drug wars and kidnappings goin on down there right now and its not really all that safe to go.

So, my question is where are the best vacation spots? I thought about hawaii or the carribeans but i dont know where to go.

Anyone have any suggestions where to go to get away, relax, have a good time and maybe somewhere a little romantic and full of stuff to do? if any of u have pics of where u have been too of the rooms that would be great. the room styles have a lot to do with my decision, especially if im payin high $ for a vacation

Im pretty sure if we find somewhere to go it will have to be adults only resorts/hotels bc i dont want to see kids runnin around and screamin mom every 5 seconds

    thanks in advance! :D

If you still want Mexico, try Cabo San Lucas... It's a lot less crazy than Cancun... Wife and I went there on the Honeymoon... had a blast.

We went to Riviera Maya (where Cancun is) last Aug. and stayed at one of the hundreds of resorts they have down there. Pretty nice, horrible food though. There was drug wars at that time too. The resorts are HUGE and very well insulated from all of that nonsense. Dont worry about it. We even rented a car and went exploring a few days. No problem at all. That area is absolutely AMAZING. Just dont do the all-inclusives if you like to eat decent food. Gonna go on a cruise next for sure.

been on a cruise... hated every second of it  especially loved how long it took to check in and check out from the dam boat... so we wont be goin on a cruise. i know theres lots of people that have enjoyed it, but i dont. id rather get somewhere by plane, enjoy where i go to and then fly back

we were lookin at stayin at the sun palace originally when we had another couple goin with us. but now they are broke up so we might try a different spot besides cancun in mexico. the palace resorts offer all the tours for free and lots of extra activities. we want to swim with the dolphins, do the zipline, scuba dive and snorkel at least while we are down there

The Maldives, they wont be here much longer as they are only 1 meter above sea level.
Very small islands you can walk around most them in under 30 minutes. Far to travel but it is amazing. My wife and I went there for her graduation present (college), some of the best diving I have ever experienced.

Not much yet, got a pretty good sound system w/ my custom sub box. Plan on adding more lights & a tool box.
Just my humble opinion, but I'd go North. Take a cruise to our 49th state! I've heard that the cruise is AWESOME! I'd have a difficult time not being able to troll all the way up there.
Not the romanical but I took my pop up there several yrs back. We flew then fished for 4 days straight. Best thing I ever did. Waiting to do it again! You can order a day trip to fish or whale watch or whatever.
I'd love to take the wife up there!
