London and pubs (pub grub) do not be tempted by McDonolds.

Like said above hit up the local pubs and places. I really liked London it is one of my favorite cities over here, most likely cause I could read all the signs.

Bangers & Mash
Caffrey's Beer - look for "Free House" - lots of chain pubs
And for god's sake, get some fish & chips wrapped in paper - awesome!
London Eye, ride the tube - "Mind The Gap", Theater District, Jack The Ripper Tour at night, Hyde Park, Harrod's, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Thames River Boat Tour, Parliament,
That should be a good start! Yep, lived there 3 1/2 years! Best experience of my life!

The London Eye Ferris wheel is pretty cool if you have the time. Gives a nice view of the city.

Try Shepard's Pie, Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Blood Pudding (if you're daring enough) and Yorkshire Pudding. Best food IMO

Watch your back as theft is huge

West end is great for nightlife

China town for the best fewds. nom nom nom

Euston is a good area to stay if you haven't sorted that bit out yet....it's away from the tourist shit, but still close to everything and can get everywhere with a couple minute ride on the tube.

some shots from when i was in london last (2011)
