Does adding 3000 miles in 3 days count as a mod?

Its pretty simple I'm Moving From Alaska back home to Utah. 3000 miles hope to do it in 3 days. ( non sleepin, non stopping HELL!!! ) does it count as a mod?
Either way pray me and Tiki ( my trucks name) make it home safe

- (EDIT) I'm stopping half way to get a good nap in but as soon as I wake up I'm gettin back to the road- ...driving 500 miles gettin out and running around at 1000 miles doin same thing at 1500 sleeping 2000 get out run around , 2500 run around one last time 3051 pull into my drive way! ( so i am stopping ) but only once and gas DUH

 

dude... at least stop and take a nap.. being sleepy while driving is more dangerous than drunk driving.. but anyways.. have a safe trip. just trying to make sure you make it there safe!

 

you have me beat so far longest non stop was from denver, co to mi, non stop - literally, only time the engine was off was to get some gas, took about 18 hours. but as i frequently take some nice long road trips, i consider it some nice moding miles!

 

I totally agree. Stock up on some seeds and an empty water bottle or cup and some good tunes just in case you get sleepy and tired. Or find an insomniac and talk to them on the phone. But you should definitely rest. Good luck.

Went from Spokane to Pheonix a couple of years ago nonstop something like 26 hours, we had three drivers though Please stop and nap every so often, or let me know when you are coming though Washington so I can be off the roads

 

Longest non-stop trip i've ever did was from Fairmont, WV to Orlando, Fl........14.5 hours, 889 miles. I had a co-driver and was in a Honda Prelude. Your driving over triple that. Be careful and drink a lot of Red Bull.

 

Longest non stop trip I've take was Madison, WI to Portland Oregon. ~2000 mi. Took about 24 hours of straight driving. Then back a week later. I had 2 other drivers though. 3000 by yourself would be terrible.

 

Longest I've done was 900 in a day, Denver CO to Phoenix AZ. Thankfull thre was 2 of us, otherwise it would have been nasty.

Really, take the advice from the others - you need to have a rest. If you got in a wreck and you were investigated and found to be sleep-deprived, you'd have the book thrown at you. Have you seen the news today about the plane crash in Buffalo? The pilots were sleep deprived and there's a lot of questions being asked about it.

 

Al-Can Highway I presume? your making me jealous! No shame in taking a nap, I would rather enjoy the ride than feel dead the whole way. Have a good ride, and at least you are in a comfortable and reliable truck!

I worked in Salt Lake for a few months a couple of years ago. Beautiful place.

 

I've done 1500 and change from CT to Miami (and then back) and then CT to Tampa. It was hell on me cause I did it alone. They weren't non-stop legs tho...

Be careful man-Driving even 45 mins longer than you should when you are tired can be the equivalent of driving with a .08BAC. I know how much it sucks to stop when you just want to get there- but it's better to take longer and make it without damage than the alternatives.

 

Military Move? Not worth wrecking the truck..Sleep, makes the drive more enjoyable.

and here's some answers for the questions first off:
- I got a kid from work headin south to bunk with me we'll swap here and there and sleep when we feel like gettin tired
-Yes ALCAN HIGHWAY, VERY PRETTY!!!
- Doing it in 3 days yes for work but I work for The Home Depot, they're given me 6 days to get home I wanna make it in three to sleep and hang with my girl before she runs away to Nevada for the summer

 

I did a 27hr non stop driving the whole way on no-doz and Stacker2 from colorado springs to long island. My brother was with me but couldnt drive stick and I was pulling 2 snowmobiles with my S-10. I cant remember any part of PA. It was one of the dumbest things I've ever done but I made it my heart was beating so fast and I was just driving. Luck I didn't have a heart attack.

 

We drove from Orange County to Dallas about 1500 miles in 20 hours including food stops and gas; two drivers though. My brother enlaw does this by himself twice a year.

 

Take it from an ex-long haul truck drive just be smart about it. My longest non-stop with out the wheels stoping was from troy IL to beckley WV. Took me 13 hours in a company truck. Rember that an 18 wheeler carries 200 gal of diesel at 6 mpg so it can be done.

The longest i did in 22 hours was from Daytona Fl to Agusta Ga and the next morning in columbus OH.

Ok now for the math of your trip
If you can avg 60mph eat while you drive and dont stop except for gas you can get some so-so sleep.
start out 0600 in the am drive until 2300 and take a nap until 0600 then drive again until 2300 then take a nap until 0600 then drive until you are there.
17 hours a day at 60 mph is your 3 days with 4-5 hours of sleep

 

My wife and i took a cruise out of port miami. When we got back we were ready to get home. Left port miami at 0930 and pulled into Charlotte NC at 2030 that night.

 

BE SAFE. take that NAP and drink coffee. oh dont forget the smokes if you do it!!
