    Fifteen of my friends & family took a trip up to the Forks, Maine to Moxie Outdoor Adventure Rafting Company to ride the Kennebec River's 5000 cfs dam release over Labor Day.

    Here's our guide OJ putting us into some fun water. Our other two boats are waiting up river in the background.

    Watch out :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    We rented the Outpost Cabin, canoe'd & kayak'd, hiked Moxie Falls & ate the most awesome homemade breakfast buffet courtsey of the owner, Liz.
    The rafting company cooked a fire pit Steak & Chicken BBQ with Moxie Beans & Pasta Salad. :drool:
    The cabin was huge, tongue & groove vaulted ceilings, huge eat-in kitchen & great room. Charcoal grill & fireplace!
    Here's pics of the lake & cabin, sorry the food was all gone..

    The mist off the Kennebec River in the early morning was beautiful

    Next year we are planning doing the Dead River with releases of 6000-7000 cfs.
    The Kennebec is a great river for kids under 14 (and over 14 too) :D
    Here is all us happy campers after the day long trip!! :woot:
    Thanks to Cliff Stevens the owner of Moxie Rafting, Liz, the owner of North American Outdoor Adventures & chef extrodinaire, OJ, Lauren, & Wayne our Guides!

    Thank you, the first two the rafting company took. Definitely go if you ever get the chance. :)
