dude..i have been uploading fullsized images..my panoramas are like 4-800mb..haha you get 1 tb of free stroage..that 1000Gb..i have barely used 1%..haha

 

Ah gotcha, haha, you know that feeling when you realize you asked a dumb question haha? Yep. Mine are currently uploading to PB. Can you copy and paste mass amounts from flikr like PB?

 

flickr produces higher quality images of the same photo when compared to photobucket

what sucks..is we have so many images tied up to PB now that we can't stop paying or the bandwidth will get used up fast..

 

How does Flickr handle displaying the folder content to visitor. Can you password protect and share via a link? Is there a slideshow option for visitors?

I started to sign up and it wanted me to have a yahoo.com login, is this correct? And part of the sign up was a required cell phone number. WTF. I do not want to give out my cell to them. It is required because they want to send you a password via a text message. I assume to verify it is a valid cell number.

I did not like the tactics they employed.

 

yes you need a yahoo email..that kinda blows..

i didn't give my number though..so not sure about that..

Slide show feature is built in and i know you can change who is allowed to view what and even copyright stuff. But i haven't played with those features as i don't use them. I now you can restrict access though yes but idk if its with the password feature like you use for your friends at home to use or if its with approved email addresses..

ill check though.

Maybe I'll just do the really good ones on flikr and upload the more plain ones on pb

 

color correction, clarity, and exposure edit for the back ground.

Yeah I'll do some on Flickr and just put up the other ones from PB. I am getting my tires roar ayes and balanced and then my alignment right now though. I jut left them uploading at home

I can certainly see the effects of what you did but the actual method used can vary from PS to elements to LR.

When I have had photos that contain a dark object in the center, the camera sensor tends to set exposure based on that and the result is blown out highlights. Usually in the sky but can be seen elsewhere in a given pic.

The solution is the bring in (move to the left) the sensor information on the right side of the histogram. After that I will typically fine tune it.

Since that photo was taken at ~11K feet in elevation, I kno from experience that the sensor can pick up way more UV light (seen as reflections off of particles in the air (haze)) and this can be corrected by manipulating the cyan color channel. This can result in sharper objects in the distance (mountains).

EDIT: And using the Healing Brush to remove objects in an image does not count.

It is interesting how we can look at a view and not see the telephone lines until we open the photo on the computer. Even then some (4 of 6 didn't) dont see the telephone lines.
