I have the last week of February off, and I would like suggestions for a good place to go. I am thinking desert. I am in Southern Oregon. I'm not really interested in rock crawling; maybe some light offroading. I am bringing my dog and my camera, so I want a scenic place where my dog will also be able to get some exercise. Anza Borrego looks amazing, but I'm not sure I want to drive 14-15 hrs. Death Valley doesn't look too dog friendly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I don't have a suggestion of a place to go, but since it sounds like you are wanting to do something quiet and relaxing, I suggest avoiding the beaches because that time of the year is Spring Break.
