    Guys,

Just curious what year the current Tundra has been out (the body design)? Any future new body updates in the near future?

I just got a 2012 Tacoma in March and recently bought a 22ft 39XX lbs travel trailer. I took the trailer 85 miles home. At 4000 ft elevation on a single lane, 2 semis had to pass me using the opposite lane .

Starting to think about the 5.7 engine :p

Does the design usually stay long as the Tacoma? Newbie to the truck world.

The first body style Tacoma was there around for 9 years. The first body style tundra was around for 6.
With the second body style of each still around its hard to say when a redesign is imminent.

I thought I read Toyota wants to go for a 2014 Tundra redesign, but I wouldn't trust much of what I've read, however, the Tundra is in a highly competitive market segment, and all the big 3 trucks are being updated. If Toyota truly wants to make a dent in the full size truck game, they should redesign, maybe not something radical, but enough to let people know it's a new truck, hopefully with structural and interior improvements as well. I love the current Tundra, but it seems it's no competition for the big three.

I have been anticipating this thing for months now. Simply due to I'm ready to get a new Tundra, but waiting to see if the 14 is going to be worth it.
