is it possible with one of the various tuners to program out the "rev hang" that plagues my six speed? On both my dads GTO and my mothers Jetta TDI the engine drops straight to idle when the clutch is pushed in. The motor tries to do all kinds of goofy things with the RPM's when shifting and it's starting to drive me insane, its especially bad when you shift at low RPM's, the RPM's will sometimes shoot up instead of down or at a minimum will hang for a second, which I've heard is an EPA thing.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
Any ideas? Seems like a lot of 6 speed owners would like this.

Still waiting on a response. I saw the bully dog thread and thought there was hope for a while but it looks like that turned out to be nothing.

That is the throttle control logic programmed into the stock ECU. It does suck. It is even worse on the newer version of the 4.0L.

Currently there is nothing other than a stand alone EMS that can fix it.

Gadget, is there a reason that URD hasn't developed a stand alone EMS for the tacoma?

That is in the plans. We need the OEM ECU connector to make this work the way we want.

The plan is that SOMEDAY, we will have a product that will allow you to remove your stock ECU and plug ours in its place and fire it up. With our advanced self tuning technology and so on it will be the hot lick.

Anyway, big dreams are being held up over a small plastic connector.....

Well I know I would certainly buy one. I hope it's something we see sooner than later. My truck has gotten so bad that I'm seriously considering trading it in for an auto. After 40k miles it's gotten where I'm not sure I can live with it any longer. I think that along with a new EMS, a stage two clutch and an aluminum fly wheel would turn the six speed taco into an absolutely amazing truck.
