So I got my kit today. Started the install.

After I put the collets on the extension doesn't seem to fit all the way it.

Is it supposed to go in smoothly with no resistance?

After install should the collets stick out of the extension?

I sort of pushed them in further and now...they're kinda stuck. I did a test fit on the truck and everything comes together, but I'm not if it's right. I can shift into all gears no problems.

I'm gonna guess I got one of the "fatter" stock shifter? =(

If I place the spacer on the the shifter housing and look at it from the profile it sticks out about 1/4" like so:

Should stick out or be further in with the spacer on?

I feel like such a twat not being able to install this right =(

    A thing or two...
I got the PM you sent and replied to it.

This is the same problem I had with mine initially. If the set screws aren't past the center of the ball on the stock assembly, you run to risk of it falling off inside the tranny. Also, if it is past center but not completely seated and tight, you may work loose and end up with play or it won't fully engage.

    Thanks.

I'm an idiot for forcing this on. How much are shifters from Toyota? Cause I can't seem to get this off. lol Looks like a long night for me.

Got the neck of the extension pretty gnarly getting it off, but after sanding it down, I'm all done.

Loving the short shifts so far. =)
