Who cares about a $26 dollar item not being refunded when the total order was $1500? Did the parts get to you on time?

So you're comparing the cost of front coils , front and rear shocks and rear leaf packs to front coilovers and UCA's ?

Kinda apples to oranges is it not ?

True enough , but to say " $1500 for an OME lift ? You could have bought half another lift for a bit more than that " makes no sense to me

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
All depends on your needs. Stock leafs sucks, IMO dakars are worth the money. To alot of people high end coilovers with uniball UCAs aren't worth the money, to some people they are.

I don't see how OME coils and Dakars are equal to 5100's preloading stock coils and an AAL

I ordered my OME lift kit from them and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I called them 2 times before I placed the order and they were very helpful w/ answering any questions I had. I somehow mistakenly ordered the same part twice (trim packer), and they called me back the next day after I placed my order and notified me of what might have happened, and they immediately refunded my money for the extra part. Out the door it was around ~$1500 for everything (OME Kit, Dakars, Extended breaklines, Spidertrax wheel spacers, Axle Shims, CB drop, Diff. drop, and Pre-Assembled Shocks & Coils). I shopped around, and once the total cost and shipping costs were accounted for, Toytec was the cheapest way to go. Delivered 4 days after I placed my order.

Why spend $1500 for OME setup when you could get spacers for 200 bucks. What a waste of cash money.

This is the shin guard? Looks pretty flimsy. A guard made out of thinner steel than the shock tube itself isn't going to do much good. :p To get adequate protection, the shin guard has to be beefier and mounted directly to the clevis, not to the shock.

And it's meant for pin-mounted shocks, not clevis-mounted shocks like ours.

Just a few little things. It's my DD
    +1
The spacers lift it the same way and the coils and 5100's. they all stress out the front. But most people are too good for spacers.

    1) How do these not fit?

    2) If they didn't "fit", then how were they installed and are they considered used just because the package was opened?

    3) Bravo for Toytec cust service just taking them back anyway

    4) Go in half with someone and put one on the end of your tailpipe so it doesn't get rock chips either

First, let me say, I am amazed how many people get rude so fast. I do this thing called WORK and cannot monitor this site endlessly waiting to respond.

Dylan, yes you did ask me to troubleshoot this issue. I explained the stone guards did not seem fit the same on both shocks, and I wanted to send them back. You checked and said you couldn't since they were used. I do not feel like I should have to disassemble my shocks to take pics of something I already tried. It's a PITA and it's friggin 30 degrees outside! I pretty much told you on the phone, I would not come back to toytec as a customer and you seemed okay with that and we hung up. In the end, thanks for stepping up and offering to take them back, sucks I had to get on a friggin forum and complain to see any willingness to take back a 26 dollar part. Like I said originally, at this point I'll stick them in the garage and move on.

And to everyone concerned with how a lift could be 1500, try doing something right the first time. I played with spacers in the past and I wanted more this time, and I don't like blocks or AAL's. The kit is 700 and change, the leafs are 400 and change, brake lines are 70, you see how you get to 1500 quick. Plus shipping. I'm not complaining about that and did not realize it was an issue.

And finally, I apologize for starting this thread in the wrong place.

Isn't this what a build thread is for?
Sounds like toytec did the right thing to me. Without being there and seeing what the issue is they can only help so much over the phone. The least you could do is snap some pictures so they can see what the issue is if not just installer error. I bet they'll fit on there. Instead of starting a thread like this, maybe next time start a thread asking for help installing your stone guards. Oh and be sure to post some pics in that thread.
