This is regarding the 2nd gen mudflaps AVEC Lighting (Mikevee) sold me on 2.23.15.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/buy-sell-trade/363463-sold-sold-sold-sold-sold.html

    Update:

    Purchase/shipping:
    -Buyer sentPayPal 2.23.15
-Seller stated (on 2.23.15) he would ship, the mudflaps and Dome LED, 2.25.15
-Buyer inquired about tracking # (2.26.15)
-Seller stated he hasn't sent them yet (couldn't find a box), will send 2.27.15
-Buyer inquired about tracking # (2.28.15)
-Seller stated (3.1.15) he "doesn't have access to company tracking site"
-Seller didn't ship until 3.2.15, tracking provided on 3.2.15,
    -Buyer received package 3.7.15

    Upon Buyer opening package:
    -Seller Provided greasy mud flaps
-Seller did poor packaging that damaged the product(s)
-Seller didn't provide the LED dome light that he stated he would

    After providing feedback to seller:
-Seller stated he was sorry and would provide a "goodie package" (on 3.8.15)
-Buyer sent message on 3.17.15, inquiring about "goodie package" status
-No response from Seller as of 3.23.15
    -Buyer created Vendor Feedback thread
-Seller again apologized and stated he sent "$50 of LEDs" (3.23.15)
-Buyer yet to receive the LEDs as of 3.31.15

-Seller responded 4.2.15, stating to "give it a few more days and if you don't hear anything and let me know."
-Buyer followed up 4.7.15 to confirm no package has arrived. No response.
-Buyer followed up again 4.9.15 to confirm no package has arrived. No response.
-Buyer followed up again 4.13.15 to confirm no package has arrived.

    FINAL Update:
-Over the weekend I finally received the the dome light that I was to receive as part of the original deal. As well as additional lights for the tail lamps, I believe.

All is well. PayPal claim cancelled. Thank you Mike / AVEC. Wish you well. Take care

I would hope this isn't the typical service he provides to TW members that he sells numerous, expensive AVEC products to.

I will say what he sent out was not right at all, but I don't think this should be under vendor review. He sold you something from his personal belonging, not the company. I'm here to see what he does and how he's gonna fix it.

Does not matter. Mikevee is AVEC, AVEC is Mikevee. There is no separate personal or business accounts.

The flaps were not just dirty, they were covered in grease (most likely tire shine, to make them look shiny). That was his doing or as he said, "his little brother"

They were definitely not sprayed with tire shine to make them look "shiny", we tried to use any cleaners as possible and was under the impression they were cleaned. I sent you about 50.00 bucks worth of LED for you truck that were paid for out of my pocket. (the thirty bucks i made from this sale after shipping).

Once again, I apologize extremely and this does not reflect AVEC at all.

This is petty. Good thing Mike has his rep here and we can all see through the whining in this thread. "Mud"flaps are dirty. Get over it. Clean them again and stoo trying to extort free lighting because your too lazy to clean some used mudflaps. +1 to Avec

Do not try to manipulate what I am communicating. I am not trying to "extort" anything. I'm just holding AVEC - Mikevee to his word.

    Which was:
    -provide clean products
-LED dome light was to be included

    Typical expectations of any sale:
-shipped when seller said they would (or at least in a timely manner)
-shipped so the products arrive undamaged or distorted

AVEC - Mikevee, did not provide those key points to me.

If AVEC - Mikevee acted in a professional manner, I would not be sharing my experience.

    I'll follow-up when I receive AVEC - Mikevee's package

The problem i see is that yes you are right as far as delayed shipping and dirty product, i get it that sucks. Sometimes people have things going on in life and mistakes happen. He apologized for. That should be the end of the story. You still got your item and its cleanable. Little extra work but who cares. Its a used mudflap what did you expect.

The goodie package your complaining about is something above and beyond that i doubt was part of your original deal. Its probably a sticker and coozie is it really that serious.

My problem is your putting his company on blast for his mistake. They are not one in the same. Thats like saying my installation and electrical work is horrible because i sold you something that wasnt to your standards. Thats not right.

If you hadnt got the item then i get it. But your trying to put mike and his company on blast for such a minor and fixable mistake. Learn to accept and apology instead of waiting on free stuff to make it right.

Its people like this who sue companies over petty stuff to make money they dont deserve just to come up and that results in higher prices everywhere and less pay at jobs for people who know how to just accept an apology and move on. Your mind is focused on "get free stuff to make me feel better" instead of just sucking it up as a bad experience and deciding to just not do business with him again and move on.

Stop trying to ruin his companies reputation and complain about getting free stuff over something so small that was apologized for.

    Again, don't try to manipulate.

The summary of what transpired below is:
    -Provided greasy mud flaps
-Shipped 5 days after you stated he would
-Poor packaging that damaged the product(s)
-Didn't provide the LED dome light that he stated he would
-Stated he would provide a "goodie package" and has yet to do so (on 3.8.15)
-Last message I sent was 3.17.15, no response as of yet.

Im not manipulating anything. Your just copy/pasting instead of seeing that your blowing this out of proportion.

-greasy mudflaps: who cares, they are used mudflaps, clean them
-shipped 5 days later: that really sucks. Bad on his part. But stuff happens, He apologized, you still got your items. End of story
-poor packaging: what damage was caused? Pics? What did mike say about this?
-dome light: its a $5 led, im sure he will send it. Again not worth putting his company on blast
-goodie package: who cares its a free sticker. I get it thats its principle and he should deliver on his promises your absolutely correct. But using a free sticker to strengthen your argument is petty.

Overall i agree you had a shitty experience and mike dropped the ball. Weve established that and im sorry you had a bad experience. But the good news is you still got the product you paid for and only 1 week late. Its not the apocalypse. This is not his company's fault. Its a personal mistake that should be handled with him not tarnishing the company name. Thats where you failed and why nobody cares

Can't change facts. That's what the Vendor Feeback section is for. Not trying to harm him, just providing feedback for the TW community.

You seem to have low standards and expectations for when you spend your money. I do not allow myself to do so.

You seem worked up, more so than anyone over this, you do seem to care.

Additionally, if you would have read this thread... he claims to be sending not a sticker but $50 in LEDs (not a sticker). Which I do indeed appreciate. And will report back once received. If anything Mikevee-AVEC can make himself look great and potentially make me a long time customer of his.

Again, please do not try to manipulate things.

    My .02..

AVEC sells LED lights and related accessories.

Mikevee sells (sold) used mud flaps.

This has nothing to do with AVEC, and doesn't belong in a vendor review section as AVEC doesn't sell used parts and IS independent from Mikevee's personal sales.

Sorry Mike. Sorry OP. Hopefully future readers can read between the lines. I've never seen an AVEC complaint.
