Fellas... I bought a set of 265/75 Firestone Destination AT's for my F5's for my 2002 regular cab prerunner 4 cyl. I think I may have made a mistake. They are HUGE. Easily 2" higher than my 31's I have on it now.

Is this right? Seems to me this will kill acceleration and rub at times. I have a 1" spacer up front that came with the truck when I bought it.

Do I return them for something smaller like a 265/70?

I chose this size because I read on here that's what everyone uses.

Any suggestions in other sizes or run this and stfu?

    Thanks all!

EDIT: I found the problem. When using the tire calculator and plugging in the 265/75, I got a 31.6" tire. Compared to my 31's, only .6" bigger. Perfect.

BUT: When I actually went to the car and measured the 31's, they are 29's! FEK I trusted the sidewall and shouldn't have. I've had 29's this whole time. The new tires actually measure 31" or so. That's where I extra 2" come from.

Recommendations? I don't want it to get any slower than it is, heh... My axle is B06A.

Thanks! Can I assume 4.5" BS on those? I feel that 3.5 would rub.

That is 4.5" bs(can rub the frame on full lock). 285s with 3.5" bs will tend to rub the pinch welds so they should be flatten down for extra clearance.

I want to run these w/ 3.5 BS on my first gen. Planning on matching them with 265/75-16 Durratracs. Will I have any rubbing issues with stock suspension? I already have 265/75-16 on my stock rims w no trouble.

The F5s won't be back in stock until around late January.

You should be good to go with that setup. If anything, you'll need to flatten down the pinch weld depending on the actual tire size. 265s can vary from one brand to another.

    WOW, that looks sharp!
