Just got these in the mail and decided it doesn't quite fit what I want. 4 brand new rims in the boxes. $725. Let me know if interested. Thanks.

    Sold.

Yep. They are 17x7's, but I want to put 285/70/17's on....not recommended by the manufacturer.

The tires will balloon a bit, but will work. Put your tires on if the manufacturers recommendation is the only thing holding you back.

Thanks for the info......I teed that question up in other places and everyone defaulted to what the manufacturer says. As long as I run around 32 psi on toyo at2's, you think it will be ok?

The stock sport rims are 7.5" and I ran 33x12.5's on them with no issues whatsoever. They did fine aired down to 15psi on the trails as well. You'll be fine with the 7.0" rims.

I think you'll regret selling them, I'll put 285s on mine down the road!

My only concern was being 7.0 inches wide....you guys are building my confidence up that it will be fine....which is the opposite of what some other people in a different thread said....I'll go with it being that they fit.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
FWIW, I think the bigger issue is fitment in the wheel well with the offset. There is too much backspacing for it to be clean. You are more than likely going to rub against any front reservoir to include fender well. This can be fixed with spacers, but some people don't like hearing that. Your wheels are 4mm Positive Offset which puts the 285 wheel even further inside the wheel well instead of pushed out.

Also, some stock wheels as you mentioned or somebody else mentioned running 285s, may not be the same. There are numerous toyota stock wheels (specifically the FJ Trail Team Wheels) that are quite popular are 7.5" wide.

Throw some pizza cutters (255/80 17) on'em and giddyup

Thanks. For the heads up. Maybe I'll go ahead and get spacers now just in case...just as long as I can return them unopened if it isn't needed.

If your serious about buying, I'll work with you on it. I don't know how much it will cost to ship.
