I couldn't be happier with the bronze

That's a great look! Such a sick truck!

Can't go wrong with either color in my opinion. Tough choice for sure. If you want to be more subtle, go for matte black, and if you want more contrast matte bronze is a good choice.

Just to make it more difficult, I think gunmetal looks good too on a magnetic grey truck.

    :) Good choice.

Thanks for posting your photos to help out! Your truck looks great! I might have to swap out for matte bronze on my MGM truck now...

Anyone with a stock-ish first gen rocking these? I looked through all the pics but didn't see one, except for the one that was on a huge lift

I don't believe I've seen the 17" Countersteer Type X on a stock suspension first gen Tacoma. Many of our customers have lifted their truck, and/or a lot of our first gen customers go with 16" wheels instead of 17" wheels. We do offer the Countersteer Type X in 16" now as well.

We have two specs available, each with multiple color options:

    1) Konig Countersteer Type X - 16x8" / 0mm offset / 4.5" backspacing / 6x139.7 bolt pattern:
    • Dark metallic blue --- special color - currently sold out.
    • Graphite gunmetal --- in-stock
    • Matte black --- in-stock
    • Matte bronze --- in-stock
    [IMG]

    2) Konig Countersteer Type X - 16x8" / -20mm offset / 3.7" backspacing / 6x139.7 bolt pattern:
    • Anthracite gunmetal --- in-stock
    • Graphite gunmetal --- in-stock
    [IMG]

The 16x8" wheels weigh in at less than 19lbs each, and both are rated with a 2,200lbs load rating. You'll notice that the -20mm offset version has a deeper lip to go along with the more aggressive specs. The -20mm offset will be a fairly aggressive fitment recommended for those who want a wider stance than the 0mm offset.

We have all of the aforementioned 16x8" Konig Countersteer Offroads in stock.

As for the 17x8" Konig Countersteer Offroads we currently have only matte bronze in stock. We will have more matte black and gunmetal in stock in approximately 2-4 weeks. We can definitely reserve a set for you (no deposit / no purchase necessary to reserve a set). Feel free to give me a call at: 855-WHEEL-00 (toll free U.S. and Canada), 1-951-735-1100 (outside the U.S.) or call/text my cell 1-714-390-9387 anytime. You can also post a reply here or private message me.

    Thanks guys!

Can anyone confirm, with 265/70/17 tires and Bilstein 5100's set to 1.75" will I run into any rubbing issues? I'd prefer to maintain mudflaps and no trimming if possible. Thanks.

Thank you again for your order! I cannot wait to see the new 16x8" / -20mm offset Konig Countersteer Type X wheels on your Tacoma!

You shouldn't rub the mud flaps, however it will likely depend on the tire. A more aggressive tire may be more prone to rubbing. Also, first gen Tacomas and the 2012+ Tacomas generally have a little better mudflap clearance than the 2006-2011 Tacomas.

I like the idea of -20 offset/3.7" B.S. I am wondering about brake caliper clearance though. The main reason I an considering a 16' or 17" wheel is to clear the bigger, 1st gen Tundra brake upgrade I an going to do.

    Any thought on this?

Good question, and I do have an answer for you. All of our wheels (including the 16x8" / -20mm offset / 3.7" backspacing Konig Countersteer Type X) will clear the 2000-2006 Toyota Tundra brakes. We test everything in a computer simulation, and then we physically test on our 2005 Toyota Tundra V8 to be sure that the wheels clear the brakes. You will not have any brake interference whatsoever.

Thanks! this is the only other photo i have for now, out of the country for awhile but ill be taking some more pictures soon.

are you lifting at all? i leveled with Bilstein 5100's set at 1.75 in the front only, gave it a pretty square look, my truck has the factory 4 leaf pack so it already sat a little high in the rear.

Thanks again @Steinkek . Your truck came out great! I'd love to see more photos of it!

Lookin' good @Ricebox ! You are very welcome, and thank you again!

Your wheels should be here later this week @IamJorgeEdward . Thanks for waiting so patiently for the wheels to come off of backorder. :)

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Looks awesome @671taco . There is just something so cool about the single cabs. Maybe it's that I don't have my single cab anymore and wish I did...Either way yours is so sweet, and I'm glad to hear that you're still loving your wheels. Your color combination is one of my all time favorites - dark metallic blue on magnetic grey metallic.
