have 265 75 R15 wheels on them. I bought the truck with new tires (225 75 R15) mounted on rusty steel rims. I later bought aluminum alloys with 265 75 R15's on them. The new wheels, which I bought used, came with Firestone Wilderness AT tires on them, (you know the kind that blow up?). Since the old tires only have about 5k on them, I'm hoping to transfer them to the new alloys. I've been told I can and I can't...any advice? Thanks.

Yep as long as they're both 15'' wheels they will transfer. The 265 to 225 is only 40mm difference and you said both are stock rims so width is not an issue.

Thanks FF160, I was getting nervous driving on the 'explodables'.
