I noticed they were off but that doesn't mean you had to take them off. I've seen other pics with them on with 285s so I didn't know if it was a must.

    ToyTec 3" basic lift
Sorry for the late response, sdirep. The 3" basic lift from ToyTec cost me close to $300 with the diff drop kit. I had it installed, so that was another couple hundred bucks. I'd say about $500-600 for the kit, pro installation, and alignment. I should have just installed them myself, but I've never installed a lift kit before.

wow. you guys have some great looking trucks. I am definitely gonna pull the trigger on the rear tsb and 5100s @ 2.5 up front. I want to keep my stockers and run a 33. Yesterday I was considering 255/85-16s to get it done but tire selection is few and far between. I'd prefer to run the 285s and now considering spacers.

I'm concerned with the hub centrics and out-of-round wheels. I just want a truck with no rake, decent meats and reliability. No vibrations, shimmies, excessive tire wear etc. It may be asking too much but what do you guys think.

    I am 2009 2wd acesss cab 4cyl 5sp prerunner

Here's mine with stock TRD OR rims and 285x75x16 BFG AT's and spidertrax spacers. Did minimal trimming around the front wheel wells. So far so good.

    At the tire shop...

this setup with the spidertrax spacers would work for stock control arms correct? love the stance. I want my truck to look like this one.

I'd say when all was said and done about 2.75 inches...but that's really just a good guess.

I have a Billy 5100 leveling lift with fronts @ 1.75" and rear TSB done.

If I get 1.25" spidertraxx spacers, how big of a tire can I get before minor trimming won't prevent rubbing?

    I have a 2010 TRD Sport.

depends on the size(width) of the spacer... 285/70/R17 is what I'm stuffing in my wheel wells now. No wheel spacers yet and a 3" lift

like I said, I'm getting the 1.25" spacers and am wondering if a 1.75" lift will be enough to fit 285/70/17 with only minor trimming necessary.

Do you have pics of your tires?

I'll be getting some Nitto TG 285/70/17 then with this new info.

That should look pretty beefy with that sized rubber in all 4 holes...........
