Is 4.75 backspacing to much????

ive looked and cant find the answer to this i am looking into buying some pro comp 1079s and they only come in 4.75 backspacing, most guys i see run 4.5 so will they work

 

depends on what size tires you want to run. 285s? then most likely not, you want 4.5s or lower

well i am running 265/70/17 nitto terra grapplers and was going to keep them

the ones i i was looking at were 17 x 9 is that wide enough to fit the tire sorry i just dont understand all the wheels spacing and what not

 

Width should be okay... depends on whether it's LT or P rated tire. Per NITTO Tires website the approved rim widths for the Terra Grappler on a LT tire is 7.0"-8.5"; For the P tire it's 7.0"-9.0"

I have method 703 they are 4.75 and run the 275/70r17 lt tires from Falken and I def touch the frame it’s very frustrating

 

Do you have any pics of the 703? Was thinking about getting them and can’t find any pictures of them on a Tacoma. Curious about them rubbing also was looking at 265/75/16 which shouldn’t be a problem but was looking for some thoughts about the wheel. Thanks

 

It touches my frame w 275:70r17 I love the rims I would highly recommend them . I did a little cutting around my frame anyways w 265 if mine barley touches I’m sure your all set

 

Also I’m on a 2 in lift
