ok so ive been looking for a long time for 16" wheels for my 2010 tacoma. i found a set from pro comp the 152 flat blacks. so i called them and they say they dont fit. the wheel rubs again the face of the caliper or something. but i remember hearing something like that on here before. and of course i cant find it again . so what i want to know from you fine TWers can i put these on with some mods to the caliper and maybe a 1/4" spacer if needed. i know a 17" wheel would fix it but not the look im going for. i want lots of side wall. thanks for your help.

i had those on my 1st gen for a couple years no issues...

4WP issues a blanket disclaimer on 16s on tacomas... it protects them from having to take returns...

if your truck came with 16s, you should be ok clearing the caliper... it's not the face of the rotor that would rub, but rather the diameter of the caliper not clearing the inner diameter of the 16...

google "street locks" and see if there are other wheel companies to try...

Check I wanted 16" steelies for my FJ and it was very hard to find some that cleared the caliper. I found them a Wheelers Off Road and when I received them it turned out they're procomp wheels.

They have them in 16" and 15" for the Tacoma. It's not the same model that you posted but maybe you'll like them.

My pro comp 1069's touched the face of the caliper but I knew about this before I bought them. A couple minutes and a grinder to the caliper fixed that. Only had to remove about 1/16" from part of the caliper, if that.

Please post pics when you get them on and tell us about any difficulties you have. I've been interested in those wheels for a while and I'd be interested to see how they turn out.

So.....If the Wheeler's Steelies are "Pro comps" couldnt you get the same wheel from 4wheelparts.com since they sell procomp....The only reason I would do this is that they offer free shipping and wheelers quoted me at $100. Its a decent price for shipping that much weight but hey who would turn down the chance to save some money? Thoughts????
