8" wheel vs 10" wheel

I am looking to get these wheels:

What would be the advantage of the 10" wide wheel with the different backspacing? Would they fit with 31x10.5 tires?

different width rims are for different size tires. you typically do not want to bubble the tire to far over the edge of the rim

A 10" rim would be for 12" or wider tires. It would look ridiculous on a 10.5" wide tire. Your rim should be 2-4" narrower than the tire.

8" rim matches a 10.5 tire perfect
