hey guys thinking of buying some american racing mojave 16x8 4.5" bkspcing. only thing is they were on a chevy and the hub circle is too small, i measured trd rim and circle from top 2 bottom is 4" and the mojaves were 3" the guy said i can take to a machine shop and get the circle made bigger to fit my tacoma. has anyone done this? can wheels be damaged or is it best to just keep looking for some that will fit tacoma off the bat? the wheels i want are mojaves though.

They do it on H2 wheels all the time to make them fit dodges. If you had the time it wouldn't take much.

The Chevy hub is 78.3mm (3.083). The Tacoma hub is 108mm (4.252")

I don't think it's going to work. You need more than 9/16" of material removed from the radius. Those rims were designed for a 14mm stud, not a 12mm like the Yota. I think you are going to end up cutting into the bolt hole if you try have them bored out based on the picture you supplied.

Its been done, but 98tacoma27 has some very valid points..

In my opinion for $400 you can find lots of rims to fit with no modifications
