I have looked hard for the answer with no real luck so I am just going to ask. I am preparing to get an OME 3” lift next week and adding XD 17x9 wheels and Revo 2 P265/70/17 tires, I am thinking the P265’s will be easier on mileage and gears since my truck is my daily drive. My question is will the proportions look funny going with the P265 in lieu of the larger P285? If it is going to look out of proportion than I guess I will go with a larger tire but would rather use your experience than make a costly mistake – thanks.

3 inch suspension lift, night shades corner and blinkers projector headlights with halos and 3 led's 18 inch kmc xd rockstar wheels,275/65/18 kelly safari tsr's, bush whacker fender flares 7 inch touch screen, 2 kenwood 12's, Magnaflow exaust single in dual out,
tire size wont really hurt your gas mileage unless your goin to say 35's or so. i would go with the 285's though.

What are your thoughts with running an aggressive wheel like the XD hoss (black) with an A/T in lieu of mud? I guess I may need to return my 265/70/17's back for some larger tires before I get lifted - maybe Revo 2 in 285?

It's really funny that you posted this, I just went with a similar combo this morning. I have a black 08' DC, just bought some 285/70/17 BFG A/T and 17x9 XD Hoss. They're going to be mounted Saturday morning, i'll post up some pics later in the day.
