Hi guys I'm about the purchase tires for my 17x8 wheels and would like to get input from taco owners that's run these tires in the past. Either nitto Tera grapler 285/70/17 price $870 balanced and installed vs bfg all terrain 285/70/17 price $1150 balanced in installed. I'm going all terrain so the gas won't be such a drastic drop. I still would like that aggressive look. Can I get your thoughts on this?

I am currently running 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler A/T and love them I have run BFG's before and think that the Nitto's are better. The BFG's seem to wear really fast.I have been running the Nittos for almost 9k miles and they still look new. Just my .02 though. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you get them installed.

I think that they are about the same, but maybe just a little bit.

I also have the Nitto's. Personally I think they look more aggressive than the BFG A/T's. And as stated above BFG's wear extremley fast, which is why they are a good off road tire (soft tread). I'm very happy with my Nitto's and would def put another set on, especially if it saves 300 something dollars. I'm actually pretty close to needing new tires soon, when it rains I can't stomp on the gas or my tires spin like crazy!
Post up some pics when you get your choice installed.

I love my TGs and they're much lighter = better mpgs. I'm so sick of seeing Bfgs on every other truck and suv on the road, although they are great proven tires. Unless you're into serious wheelin or construction look for the lighter wt C load rating and avoid the heavy-ass Es.

BFG FTW! better off-road then the TG's and look more aggressive.

You dont see people winning baja with nittos... :p

you may also want to look into General Grabber AT2's. they look almost exactly like BFG's but a lot cheaper. lots of people running them on here and they look more aggressive than TG's

I love my nitto's they ride smooth on the street and haven't let me down off road.
