I have read every thread on this tire size and haven't found an answer. I can pick up a set of FJ wheels with 255/85/16 BFGs on them for a pretty good price. I want to lift in the near future, but for now, I want to be able to run these. Will they fit my 08 DCLB or will I have issues. I don't really want to do any trimming or anything. Since the tires are more narrow and the rims are backspaced differently it would appear that this will work, but I am not sure. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I have always run them tall and skinny- awesome in the snow and mud.

Build Thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/builds/74926-barlowrs-06-taco-expo-build-thread.html OME Lift, FJ SE Wheels, 255/85 KM2, Allpro Plate Bumper, 8K Winch, Synthetic Line, Yaesu FT-8800R, Custom Sliders Sockmonkey bedside decals, BHLM, base model grille, TRD offroad (black) trim
You will rub. Even with my OME lift, at FULL lock I actually rub the frame (not body mount, but actual frame). The nice thing about 255/85 is that you can run stock UCA and have plenty of clearance, you also clear the body mount pretty well, but you will rub the frame for sure.
