help with rim size?

who ever can help! just bought 2010 tacoma 4 cyl base model reg cab 4x4 short bed and im interested in the xd endurov wheels. offset and backspacing are very confusing to me any info will help im thinking 17 or 18 inch rims but i do not know how big i can go with the tire. how big can i go stock suspension

 

do you know that siz will fit with no rub ii wish i could see what that would look like and thanx for the reply

Here's a handy chart that helps you convert width and offset to backspacing (about 1/3rd down the page)...the page also explains the difference between the two.

On stock suspension, the biggest you'll be able to fit for tires is 265/65/18 or 265/70/17. Those are 32's. they will fit fine if you get rims with 4.5" to 5.5" backspacing.

If you want to go bigger than that, you can fit 33's (285/65/18 or 285/70/17) with a 3" lift, rims with 4.5" backspacing, and trimming some plastic. You may also have to chop to cab mount if you go this route. sounds like a big deal but a lot of people on here are running that setup.

wich back spacing sticks out more 4.5 or 5.5 and if i get the rims you recommended should i be worried about offset

 

the smaller thr backspacing, they more they will stick out.

Don't worry about offset alone. Use the rim width AND offset to calculate the backspacing to see if you are good to go.
