Can a patch be "patched"?

I have a bolt go through the tire some months back. Took it in and they put a patch on the inside. Everything was going well. Now that it is colder I am losing air. I would say every week and a half I get my TPMS light on. Fill up with air and all is good.

My question is, can I take it back in and have them fix the patch or is the tire shot and I need a new one?

maybe you have a nail in the tires
if its leaking from the same patch you can have it removed
but should have a plug patch put in it
also as it gets colder out tires will lose air

 

yea, they can just take it off and re-do it. Whether or not it needs a plug patch vs a regular patch only depends on the size of the hole. If it's small, there's no reason to enlarge it to fit a plug patch, but if it's a somewhat large hole, you need to plug patch it. Either way whoever patched it the first time fucked up.
