Question Spare tire "rattle".

Some of you may know I'm lowered, so that might come into play.

A few days ago I noticed a metal on metal clanking noise from my rear end.

I thought maybe the leafs or leaf shackles, or maybe even the shocks or blocks. No. Every nut and bolt was tight.

I actually took a stethoscope to my suspension and narrowed it down to my axle area.

Come to find out that my spare tire was loose for some reason.
I pulled on it, and it didn't budge. So I lowered it and raised it back up again, rattle is gone.

Has anybody else had an issue with the spare tire hanger or cable box? This seemed really odd to me.

I know this thread is as old as dirt but yes....mine has started rattling around.

Is it true that the spare has the TPMS in it? So if I get rid of the spare....I'll have a light on all the time?
